How many times have you loaded up your motorcycle in the back of your truck and had to leave the tail gate down, then wondered about where you're going to put the ramp so it doesn't fly out the back on the first pothole you hit? This is a common problem for me. At the shop I work for, we have a short bed truck that we use to pick up broken-down scooters. Things got a lot easier after we got a pair of the Extreme Max 8' ATV RampXtenders.
It comes in a set of two ramps which have a max capacity of 2000 pounds, so you'll have no problem loading up your bike. The ramps themselves have rubber coated "fingers" to protect your tailgate and have an integrated hook and strap design to keep them from slipping. The most useful feature is the fact that they fold and attach to the back to create a 2-foot extension of your truck bed (basically you put the tail gate down, and these lay on top of it). They're a universal fit and can be used for everything from motorcycles to lawn equipment. It's a great idea for those of us who don't have the extra space to store the ramp.
Maybe you like to load up the back of your truck with gear and you don't have any room for your bike. If that's the case, you can check out this motorcycle carrier by Masterbuilt.
